Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by MYKID LTD (trading as My Kid Atelier).

By confirming a booking, meaning the payment of the non-refundable Initial Party Planning Fee (£200.00) and the subsequent 50% advance payment of the total invoice, the client agrees to the terms set out below.

1. Estimates

1.1 Upon receiving an enquiry, MYKID LTD will provide the client with an estimate for the requested services.
1.2 Estimates are valid for three (3) days from the date of issue. After this period, prices may be subject to change due to supplier availability or additional requests made during the planning process.

2. Booking

2.1 To secure the party date and services, MYKID LTD requires a non-refundable Initial Party Planning Fee of £200.00, which will be deducted from the final invoice.
2.2 Dates and times cannot be held until the Initial Party Planning Fee has been received.
2.3 Venue searches will only commence once the Initial Party Planning Fee has been paid.

3. Prices

3.1 Prices for MYKID LTD services may vary depending on the theme, scale, intricacy, and complexity of the event.
3.2 All prices are subject to VAT.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Once all services have been agreed upon, MYKID LTD will issue an invoice.
4.2 A 50% non-refundable advance payment of the total invoice is required to confirm all services listed. Until this payment is received, MYKID LTD cannot guarantee suppliers’ availability, and prices may be subject to change.
4.3 The final balance must be paid no later than seven (7) days prior to the event.

5. Cancellation or Amendments

5.1 MYKID LTD will make every effort to accommodate cancellations, rescheduling, reductions, or amendments without penalties.
5.2 However, if cancellation or amendments are made less than sixty (60) days before the event, 100% of the total fee agreed in the invoice shall remain payable in full.

6. Delivery Guarantee

6.1 MYKID LTD is responsible for delivering all services listed on the final invoice.
6.2 In the unlikely event that a listed service is not provided, MYKID LTD will refund 100% of the cost of the specific service(s) not delivered, within seven (7) days of the event.
6.3 This refund is strictly limited to the value of the undelivered service(s) and does not extend to indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

7. Third-Party Suppliers Engaged Directly by the Client

7.1 Responsibility: MYKID LTD accepts no responsibility for services, activities, or performances arranged directly by the client with third-party suppliers.
7.2 Coordination: Suppliers engaged directly by the client must coordinate their arrival, set-up, activities, de-rig/clear up, and rubbish removal with the client and/or venue.
7.3 Insurance: Services provided by third-party suppliers engaged by the client are not covered under MYKID LTD’s insurance.
7.4 Documentation: All required pre-event documentation (including but not limited to Public Liability Insurance, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, PAT Testing, DBS checks, and hygiene certificates for food/catering) must be provided by the supplier and coordinated directly with the venue.
7.5 Requirements: Where third-party suppliers have specific requirements (e.g. space, furniture, green rooms, electricity/technical provisions, kitchen access, rubbish removal, or cleaning), MYKID LTD shall not be responsible for arranging these unless expressly agreed in advance. Such requirements must be managed directly between the supplier and the venue.
7.6 Supervision of External Activities: MYKID LTD staff cannot supervise, run, or take responsibility for activities or services provided by third-party suppliers.
7.7 Cakes and Desserts: MYKID LTD does not handle, move, arrange, or display cakes, desserts, or similar fragile items unless expressly agreed with the client prior to the event. Cakes and items such as cupcakes often require specialist stands/handling, which must be provided by the client or their chosen supplier when not organised by MYKID LTD.
7.8 Liability: MYKID LTD shall not be liable for any actions, omissions, accidents, damages, or losses caused by third-party suppliers engaged directly by the client.

8. At-Home Parties

8.1 Space Preparation: The event space must be cleared of furniture, artwork, valuables, and fragile items prior to MYKID LTD’s arrival.
8.2 Client Responsibility: The client is solely responsible for removing or relocating furniture, valuables, and fragile items. MYKID LTD staff do not move, remove, or rearrange furniture on behalf of the client. The company accepts no responsibility for breakages or damage to items not removed.
8.3 Care and Handling: While MYKID LTD staff take care to respect the home (including floors, walls, and surfaces), décor and equipment deliveries may cause scratches or marks. MYKID LTD cannot be held liable for such damage during delivery, set-up, the event, or de-rig.
8.4 Claims and Insurance: Any claims or incidents will be handled by the relevant insurance company. Proof of Public Liability Insurance (PLI) is available upon request prior to the event.
8.5 Risk Assessments: Event Managers may attend house viewings in advance to carry out risk assessments and advise on potential risks.

9. Outdoor Parties

9.1 Weather Contingency: For all outdoor events, a suitable marquee or indoor space must be arranged to allow the event to proceed in bad weather. This may be organised by the client or by MYKID LTD (at additional cost). Event Managers can advise on suitable solutions.
9.2 Cancellations by the Client: If the client cancels or reschedules an outdoor event due to weather conditions, no refunds will be issued.
9.3 Safety Measures: In strong winds or adverse weather, MYKID LTD reserves the right to cancel or remove inflatables, bouncy castles, or other equipment where use may pose a safety risk.

10. Safety and Children’s Supervision

10.1 Children must never be left unattended or placed in the sole care of MYKID LTD Entertainers or Event Managers.
10.2 Parents and/or guardians remain fully responsible at all times for the supervision and safety of their children, including during the use of inflatables, games, or other active entertainment, regardless of whether an activity supervisor is present.
10.3 Children with food allergies or sensitivities must be closely supervised by parents/guardians, and parental/caregiver assistance is always required for food serving.

10.4 Liability: MYKID LTD accepts no responsibility or liability for incidents, accidents, or health issues arising from undeclared allergies, dietary sensitivities, or lack of parental/guardian supervision.

10.5 Many MYKID LTD events include craft stations or creative activities involving materials such as paint, slime, glitter, markers, and other art supplies that may cause stains. While aprons may be provided, MYKID LTD accepts no responsibility for any damage to or staining of children’s or guests’ clothing or personal belongings.

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, MYKID LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or in connection with any event or services provided.
11.2 MYKID LTD’s total aggregate liability, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, shall be limited to the total amount paid by the client under the agreement.

12. Amendments

12.1 Any amendments, additions, or variations to the agreed services must be confirmed in writing by MYKID LTD and the client.
12.2 Verbal agreements or informal discussions shall not be binding unless expressly confirmed in writing.

13. Changes to These Terms and Conditions

MYKID LTD may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. Any updates will be published on our website and will apply to future bookings. Clients are advised to review the Terms and Conditions regularly. The version in force at the time of booking will apply to that booking.
